HLAE seems to be safe to use so far for viewing demos with -insecure. The only reports of bans we got within CS2 were the usage of HLAE in CSTV observing.

Can anyone confirm that it's safe to run CS2 with -insecure to run apps like HLAE to watch demos, or do automation/scripts on your offline server with bots? Or would running the game without internet be an option as well? I obviously want to take every precautions necessary.

To download your CS2 demos, do like this: 1. Go to your steam profile 2. Click "Games" 3. Go to CS:GO - My Game Stats - 'username' Personal Game Data 4. Premier Matches 5. Go to the game you want and then "Download GOTV Replay" 6. Download "7zip" software and then extract the file. 7. Rename the new file with ".dem" in the end of the name, for example "virre.dem"
