I bought several Windows laptops for my daughters in college. Got tired of them failing and shifted to Apple. My daughter’s MacBook Pro still works fine ten years later. I have a perfectly good Asus Windows laptop that I can’t use because Microsoft stopped supporting the OS. Microsoft and Windows machines suck.

Kevin O'Leary says Apple's genius is making people pay 5x more for a laptop they could buy for $350 "you can buy an Apple laptop, average price about $1,800, or you can buy the same functionality for $350 on a Windows laptop" "but you still pay $1,800. Why? Brand" "you're paying a 5x multiple in some cases for something that is exactly like a Windows machine" "I put that out to people, they say, yeah, but it's not an Apple. So there is the genius of Jobs"

Voting is a right, not a privilege. The SAVE Act won’t save anything. It will strip Americans of their right to vote. We have to fight back to protect our democracy.

🚨WHAT?!!! Over TWO HUNDRED American flags were VANDALIZED by "teens" at a North Carolina Veterans Memorial Park over the weekend... ...TWICE!!! Residents frantically replaced hundreds of flags only to wake up and find them vandalized AGAIN in the morning. Even a wreath that was placed on the VIETNAM MEMORIAL was SHREDDED by the teens. THIS IS DISGUSTING!!!!

I don’t understand why every vehicle isn’t a hybrid. Why not use regenerative braking to charge a battery in every car? Huge increase in gas mileage. Why do they still make non-hybrids?

@collin_ruth89 So with a hybrid you’ve got two systems to maintain - gas and electric. Electric not as much maintenance but because it’s also gas you have oil changes, lubrication, belts, everything associated with an ICE car. What’s the point? Get a Tesla

That water clarity is an engineering decision, and the math behind it is wilder than the video. Roman aqueducts ran on gravity alone. No pumps, no pressure systems. Engineers carved channels with a gradient so shallow it borders on absurd. The Pont du Gard in southern France drops 2.5 centimeters over 275 meters. That's roughly the thickness of a coin over the length of three football fields. They surveyed that accuracy with plumb lines and wooden leveling instruments. The clarity you're seeing is a direct product of flow velocity. Too steep and the water erodes the channel walls, picks up sediment, turns brown. Too flat and it stagnates. Roman engineers targeted a slope of about 20 centimeters per kilometer, which kept the water moving fast enough to stay fresh but slow enough to stay clear. Before the water reached the city, it passed through multi-chamber settling tanks where velocity dropped near zero. Suspended particles sank. Clean water flowed out the top into the next chamber. Repeat three or four times. Pliny specified the minimum slope in writing. Vitruvius published the exact mortar ratio for hydraulic cement: one part lime to two parts volcanic ash for underwater work. The pozzolana from Pozzuoli reacted with water to form a calcium-aluminum-silicate compound that actually gets stronger the longer it sits submerged. Modern concrete degrades in water. Roman concrete bonds with it. Scale the whole system and it gets harder to process. Eleven aqueducts fed Rome at its peak. Combined output: roughly 1 million cubic meters of water per day. That works out to about 250 gallons per person for a city of one million. Modern New York delivers about 125 gallons per person per day. Ancient Rome had access to double the per capita water supply of the largest city in the United States, running entirely on slope and stone. The Trevi Fountain in Rome is still fed by one of them. Two thousand years, same source, same gravity, same water.

@patrickbetdavid Your post makes no sense. Highest unemployment levels for MBA’s in 20 years yet the number of colleges offering the degree is up to 49%. Suggests to me MBA jobs are going away and the colleges fail to recognize this.

Young people under 35 with MBAs are facing the highest unemployment levels in nearly 20 years. Now there’s a fire sale on MBAs. A decade ago, only 32% of universities offered MBA scholarships. Today? It’s 49%. The market is dictating demand for MBA’s.

Wait a darn minute. My sister in law just told me to make sure I take all my mosquito shots before I go to Costa Rica in a few weeks. Um...say what? I am vaccine hesitant after covid vaccines and the mrna bs. Please tell me she was joking because I am definitely not taking anything. I will however take mosquito spray. As in OFF. ADVICE?!

🚨 You can’t make this up. I caught a hotel worker at the Super 8 / Easters Inn in Prince George allegedly pouring yellow paint into BC sewer drains. Management denied it. The owner admitted it was wrong after seeing my camera… then allegedly tried offering me free hotel stays to keep quiet. This is EXACTLY why independent journalists matter. drewcouver.com

Kamala is going to be the nominee. The more Gavin Newsom talks the less people like him. If he were a black woman that wouldn’t matter, but Newsom has no base. He and Mayor Pete will battle for the white wine moms. Shapiro is Jewish and done. It’s going to be Kamala.

**Gutfeld! runs with a much smaller team than most broadcast late-night shows.** Exact headcount isn't public (Fox doesn't release those details), but it's repeatedly described as leaner — Gutfeld writes much of his own monologue, and the show kept airing during the 2023 WGA strike because its staff is smaller and non-WGA. Core on-air regulars (Gutfeld, Kat Timpf, Tyrus, etc.) plus a handful of producers/writers (Tom O'Connor exec produces, plus a small writing crew) and the usual studio tech crew make up the operation. No giant group-shot army like the Colbert show.
