Suggest u spend some time reading the Cooke Report (June 2014); the Fennelly Report (Sept 2015); the O’ Higgins Report (May 2016) & all the Crt of Appeal & Supreme Crt judgements (8) in the case Shatter v Guerin up to February 28, 2019 together with all the reports I sought on & the reforms I implemented on the ticket charge issue, including the Report of the Garda Inspectorate.

On January 19, 2026, the Islamic Republic answered her with a bullet.
Think about that for a moment. A young woman who trained her whole life to climb mountains and play football was treated like an enemy of the state, simply for asking for freedom.

Meet Sahba Rashtian.
She was 23. A women’s football player in Iran’s premier league and a referee’s assistant on the field.
She was also an artist, a nature lover, and someone who lived life with the energy that athletes bring to everything they do.
On January 19, in the city of Isfahan, she was shot by the Islamic Republic’s security forces.
A direct bullet to her side ended the life of a young woman who had spent 23 years growing, dreaming, creating.
At her funeral, her mother held her photo and said something that should break anyone’s heart:
“I raised this angel for twenty-three years. Now I have to stare at her inside a grave?”

Bemused that the Irish Independent doesn’t identify who was responsible for the despicable float nor sought comment from them nor comment on its obvious antisemitic intent.
No decent person would have hijacked a a St Patricks day parade to illustrate the sexual assaults by Hamas on Oct 7 at the Nova Music Festival or on hostages held in Gaza nor on Irish children in schools & institutions by multiple Irish clergy. There is only one reason for the “Epstein” branding & the reporter either lacked the insight to understand it or deliberately ignored it.
Those responsible for the float & who engaged in the performance as well as their organisation must be known locally. Accountability not impunity is required. Unfair to all other well intended participants that second circuit cancelled. There is a need to take a stand against this type of disgusting conduct.
