EASTER SEASON ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN
Reductions in crashes and fatalities have been recorded in all provinces except Free State and Eastern Cape. Gauteng, Limpopo and Northern Cape recorded the sharpest decreases of between 46 percent and 47 percent.
This progress gives us hope as we start the Easter peak travel period. The success was made possible by intensified law enforcement in all provinces. A total of 321 roadblocks were held in the period with 374 161 vehicles stopped and checked.
A total of 1122 vehicles were discontinued for defects which made them unfit to be used on the road while 1147 vehicles were impounded for mainly violating travel permits.

Teko Modise’s Words Of Wisdom For Mbule
Speaking on the iDiski Dine Podcast, Bafana legend Teko Modise has handed Orlando Pirates’ Sipho valuable advice amid his current inconsistency📊.
“Sipho has the potential to be great just like Rele, Jayden Adams, Teboho Mokoena. They all have greatness. The reason why Mshishi is Mshishi is that Mshishi would go and train extra every single day.
“The very same distraction that everyone playing football had, we had them. Social media was there. There is no excuse; it’s on you. Use us as a reference.”
What are your thoughts on Teko's advice? Share in the comments💭

The exits include dealmakers from corporate and investment banking, but Nyembezi stresses a strong internal pipeline ensures smooth succession.

A kind reminder that Great Things are happening in South Africa 🇿🇦
THE RESULT OF 4 CEOs IN 4 YEARS
The Public Investment Corporation (PIC), which manages R3.7-trillion in state pension funds, plans to sell more than 60% of Daybreak Foods, its failed chicken producer troubled by governance breakdowns, animal cruelty and sustained financial losses.
The PIC invested R1.7bn over a decade, a period that ended with the company entering business rescue in June 2025, a process that saved just 500 jobs from an original workforce of 3,400.
Daybreak currently supplies 6% of South Africa's poultry market, which produces 1.7 million tons of chicken annually. The company is dwarfed by rivals such as Astral Foods, in which the PIC holds a 24% stake, and Rainbow Chicken, both of which have posted strong earnings.
The PIC's unlisted assets total R127bn, and Daybreak now needs a buyer within 18 months, despite facing R140-million in creditor claims and a damaging track record of four chief executives exiting the business in as many years.
