The @AlcdsbSLP Secondary LSDC Every-Continent Food Fair has begun! 🇯🇵🇿🇦🌍👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳 We’re cooking traditional dishes from the different continents to try! 🌎Our menu today is: pasta from Europe, Jollof rice from Africa, bannock from Antarctica, sunny coast drinks from Australia, spring rolls from Asia, and Encanelado from South America! Yum!🤤 @alcdsb

We’re PUMPED for the pumper truck!🔨🧱🚜🔩👷 A huge thank you to Issac and the team at Quinte Mobile Concrete Services for driving their pumper truck to the @AlcdsbSLP schools! Both the Secondary LSDC and the St Peter Summer students had a blast interacting with the truck!💥 Shout out to Ms. Leah Paul for setting this all up! @alcdsb @NicoleWrightEDU

Stumbled on a glowing dance party at St Thomas More today during visits. Think the FOY students were having as much or more fun than the young students.

Today was themed around camping 🏕️ ! The students had a blast with a s’more number scavenger hunt, crafting camping rhymes, constructing their own tents and campfires, and even making some delicious s'mores. @AlcdsbSLP @alcdsb

Week two visits with our FOY students warmed my heart. Love watching the older kids mentor the younger ones.

Today the @AlcdsbSLP Secondary Life Skills students learned about chromatography—the process for separating components of a mixture! 🧪🧑‍🔬🥼🌸 We did a flower bouquet chromatography experiment using coffee filters to separate the pigments in coloured markers!! So fun! 🌸💐 @alcdsb

Today, our summer learning students explored the FLSZ rule and practiced their new skill by playing UFLI games! 🎲 @AlcdsbSLP @alcdsb

Love seeing the excitement as the FOY students support younger students in making leaner profiles and in exploring their community. So many great things happening in our programs.
