The @AlcdsbSLP Secondary LSDC Every-Continent Food Fair has begun! 🇯🇵🇿🇦🌍👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳 We’re cooking traditional dishes from the different continents to try! 🌎Our menu today is: pasta from Europe, Jollof rice from Africa, bannock from Antarctica, sunny coast drinks from Australia, spring rolls from Asia, and Encanelado from South America! Today the @AlcdsbSLP Secondary Life Skills students learned about chromatography—the process for separating components of a mixture! 🧪🧑‍🔬🥼🌸 We did a flower bouquet chromatography experiment using coffee filters to separate the pigments in coloured markers!! So fun! 🌸💐 @alcdsb

The @AlcdsbSLP Secondary LSDC Ss are reading the novel “Wonder” by @RJPalacio and are focusing on always choosing kind☁️💙🦋 Throughout the week, Ss planned out a unique kindness design, cut and glued material, and collaborated in creating a Classroom Kindness Quilt! So cool! 💙🤍💙#ChooseKind @alcdsb

The Secondary LSDC SLP students learned all about our solar system today!🪐🌎🌟 This morning, during our weather meeting, we read that the earth’s core has reversed its spin! This prompted our afternoon scientific inquiry about our solar system and outer space! 🌟🌎🪐 @alcdsb

The @nccschool grade 10 English class has built their bridge! 🌉📚 All 34 Ss read different books for their independent novel study and built customized “bricks”. Then, together, we built a bridge of books to represent how literature builds connections!📚💚🤍 @alcdsb #ThePowerofLiterature

And the @nccschool senior girls and boys soccer teams are off to the @OFSAA Single A soccer banquet! @alcdsb 💚🤍
