@InsideOut2912 Lmao. They are performing good because they have very good timetrialist (Ganna, Tarling, Vauquelin, Arensman, Sheffield), not because INEOS did something special in their trainings. Or did you forget how they ended up in ITT in vuelta last year?

Meanwhile, INEOS win today’s TTT at Paris–Nice after finishing 1st, 2nd, and 4th in yesterday’s prologue at Tirreno–Adriatico 🙇🏽‍♂️ I’m curious to see what they’ll do with Remco's TT 😊

🇬🇧 Bigham quits his role at @INEOSGrenadiers ❌ 🗣️ "How I want to do performance is not aligned with how Ineos wanted to go. [...] I feel that a lot of perfomance we're leaving on the table and that frustrates me, It's clear we should be doing things better." (The Telegraph)

@bsirnik The tadejs knee story from wellens just sounds sus to me. Like if it's so bad and he was still that good, ignoring his standard level, how tf did he stay good enough during that. Are they making up injuries or did he get something to recover that quickly.

@faustocoppi60 @BenjiNaesen Yeah, a lot of them end up going through different routes to avoid Portuguese conti teams - see almeida and morgado at Hagen's. Then again Bahrain probably are a little less bothered by it

@Tratnikstan Add to that the year 2020. After the Covid break, a changed peloton came back, with age-old (dopers´) climbing records falling like dominoes. I first thought it was bc riders were well rested&super eager to race&show their sponsors in public so as to keep them, but....who knows!

Speaking about Lazkano case, I've yet to see any journalist or anyone talk/ask about why riders made a big performance leap into 2023 (and include vuelta22 here) and another huge leap into 2024. Like why SPECIFICALLY these years..?

@cyclingtakes It also feels like caja has something to do with this. So much dodgy shit going on there that keeps getting covered up.

The more I think of the Oier Lazkano case, the more it smells. These different elements just don’t add up. Convinced that there’s a lot more to this than the public is informed about.

@BenjiNaesen Wrong @BenjiNaesen. It means there’s a risk they could be downgraded (to ProTeam) or not have the full WorldTour rights. They are still a team and still have contractual rights over the riders depending on their contract terms.

Considering Jayco-AlUla and Liv-AlUla-Jayco failed to deliver their application on October 15th, I guess that means their riders are technically free to sign elsewhere. Which Jayco-AlUla rider would you like to see riding for a different team? What team and why? ⤵️

@Tratnikstan AWP - Great prospect Söderqvist - good Nys - stick to cyclocross💀 Ayuso - good but should be better TTT - mid indeed Vacek - future goat (unbiased opinion) Simmons - I don’t think he's in the files so I'll say decent

@dnlbenson Would be interesting to get an article on Bora staff changes. They seem to be constantly hiring and firing staff, seems tumultuous.

Interesting that EF explicitly mentions a new cyclocross project in both this post & their article. I'm curious how that will look like. Currently in the team this Mattia Agostinacchio and Letizia Borghesi & Nina Berton have experience in this discipline. #cycling #CX

@Otismotisss @Tratnikstan I think he's a good rider, but I don't think you can call him a brilliant stage hunter, at least not before he wins a road stage.

@propmarx @BenjiNaesen If there's no other interest fine. But I think he's done it for classics leadership, and I'm sure he'd have had a bunch of other interest.

@Alchas65 @BenjiNaesen It’s really hard to blame someone. Cycling is hard and if you have a contract… well you’re not guaranteed another. It’s hard to blame someone, but also I am glad that people who have the ability are leaving the team.
