If LHR decide to terminate HEX then i'll be certain EL will be the only rail operator on the route. After all, even with a slightly longer journey time, higher frequency + less waiting outweighs a faster HEX

Morning all. On my way into central London on this Sunday morning and I got the Elizabeth Line just after 8am thinking it would be quiet. I was very wrong. I think everyone lands at Heathrow and steps straight on the train. People’s suitcases are about as big as the average London apartment.

@Aldren767 @phil_plymo77438 @London_W4 @TfL That won’t happen because it’s required that airports provide a rail link, not to mention running more EL trains currently would be a logistical nightmare to run on the mainline branch and then even on the Heathrow branch as at T5 they can only use one platform and only 2 at T4

Heathrow travellers: Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express trains are currently suspended to and from the airport. The Piccadilly Line is closed this weekend for engineering. Best alternative is Tube to Hammersmith, then bus. No GWR trains running to/from London Paddington, either.
