There's a lot of modern fantasy that is obsessed with sanding down any emotional/sociopolitical tension by making everyone unproblematic and fluent in therapy-speak in ways that make zero sense for the setting or characters, while allowing the quirky fun violence to go unexamined

@Riamus01 If you've read any Elric or Conan, that's very much within that whole Swords and Sorcery thing. Both Howard and Moorcock, moreso the latter really just went ham with inserting fantasy versions of every culture into their books.

Seriously though, the absolute dumping of random humanoid creatures and humans from different cultures with no elaboration is killing me. Insane implications for the size of this world.

@MrAntiHero1 Kreig started as a Kill Team. And KT is the perfect place to slot in a bespoke unit of Dudes from a specific Guard Faction that you then put in 40k. legion was never really that bespoke, just unique infant with a lot of mech support.

Its people like you that are the reason why when I look up White Scars on the Warhammer website I get 95 results. 92 of them are just generic SM shit. 3 of them are chapter specific and one of those three is sold out. Ffs.
