Some servers can make 1k plus in a night, some only make 60$ for their shift. I'd honestly like it to go to hourly, both of those numbers are absurd.

Most men today would not know how to sharpen the tools that make this possible. My dad worked for a period as a feller cutting down trees with an axe. He told me the most angry he had ever been was when another feller fouled one of the bits on his axe after he has stayed up late getting it perfectly sharp. We just don’t treat tools like that anymore.

@WeaselofWar @StayDrunkI just buy a stronger wood or more hickory. Old growth/new growth hardly matters in anything but pine. Grain direction matters much more. I guarantee you won't be breaking a handle sized stick of ash or hickory even if you do, ~$5-$8/bdft to make another.

Hours and hours of sanding and lifting wood, hours of programming and solving problems. The tech part is much easier until you've got something that isn't in your created workflow.

Though honestly having a more reactive pan can be better. My grandma's old pans with decently thick aluminum bottoms transfer a lot of heat extremely well.
