Anyone looking to downplay Southampton’s actions here are simply condoning cheating. A man, with recording equipment, travelled hundreds of miles less than 72hrs before kick off to film an opponent, when the rules state you can’t. Banged to rights. #Boro

If you love football & The Championship, this case so important & why @Boro is pushing hard. To ensure fair competition, future sponsorship, finances, public/worldwide interest, then sporting integrity is essential. If belittled through a weak sanction, we’re on a slippy slope.

@Alecmckenzie As a squad we’re knackered and have ran out of steam. If we went up this season I don’t think we’d cope and I don’t particularly want to go up by being reinstated. Saints have made it an unsatisfactory situation for everyone.

Southampton fans continue to miss the point of this whole situation. We know we lost, we believe we don’t deserve a place in the final HOWEVER cheating within sports needs to be dealt with properly and should never be excused regardless of outcome of games.
