Filipino spaghettis are made with banana ketchup and not tomato. This recipe was made by Maria Orosa during WW2 in response to the food shortage, and this invention of hers have saved the lives of many Filipinos.
Jollibee spaghetti uses the same recipe. Not the same situation.

Funfact: they never did. It's a well known type of mashup food in the Philippines and no one ever claimed they developed the spaghetti, everyone here knows that it's just another version of spaghetti hence we often call it Filipino style.
