I don't skim over them, but I am not a fan of flashbacks. The skill needed to done it correctly isn't always there.

Bookish hot take. I don't like flashbacks in any books. I always skim over them waiting to get back to the story. Hence why you'll never find a flashback in my books.

@trincun I think it's more important to find a narrator that has the right vibe for your book, no matter the gender.

Audiobook questions: Do people generally like a male reading a male character, female reading female? Does it matter? What if there are multi POVs & one's a male, the other a female? Does it irritate people when there are two narrators? And why can't I just hire Andy Serkis?🤷‍♀️
