I have to give credit to Allan Peter Cayetano. His eloquence is a refreshing contrast to the rough, street-corner style of #EatBulaga comedian Tito Sotto. APC explains complex issues with such clarity that even ordinary uneducated Filipinos can easily follow and understand. 👏

If you trace the roots of the chaos unfolding in the country today, it almost always leads back to Bongbong Marcos.

Senators who casually acknowledge a foreign arrest warrant without emphasizing Philippine constitutional process should not be the ones crafting our laws. Should not be a senator of the republic.. The Philippine Constitution is the supreme law of the land, not subordinate to foreign entities. Any foreign process affecting a Filipino citizen must still pass through proper Philippine legal validation and due process. That is the duty of lawmakers: to defend the integrity of our legal system, not weaken it through selective interpretation driven by politics. If our own senators forget that constitutional safeguards come first, then they are undermining the very sovereignty they swore to protect.

I can’t believe this still has to be said: no one can truly tame Bongbong Marcos. If you think aligning with him will advance your political ambitions, you are gravely mistaken. A snake bites by nature, whether you’re an ally or an enemy.

Why isn’t Philippine mainstream media asking why Tito Sotto, Ping Lacson, and other minority senators left the Senate before the shooting, despite reports the impeachment articles were arriving? They seemed eager for it, yet suddenly left before the incident. 🧐

To the congressmen and senators who bent the rule of law to protect a drug-addicted president: we will remember. The Filipino people will not forget those who chose power over accountability, and history will judge you for it.

The Senate is under siege by the NBI under the direction of Bongbong Marcos Jr. If you think this is just politics as usual, you are gravely mistaken. This feels worse than martial law because there is no formal declaration. Pinklawans, this is what you get for aligning with BBM.

If the Supreme Court of the Philippines allows the rendition of Senator Bato Dela Rosa to the ICC, it could be seen as an admission that the country is no longer fully capable of administering justice on its own, effectively shifting that responsibility to a foreign tribunal. 👏

A few months ago, Ping Lacson talked about “inter-parliamentary courtesy” as a reason for not inviting Zaldy Co and Martin Romualdez to the Blue Ribbon Committee probe into flood control corruption tied to the administration of Bongbong Marcos. Look at what the HoR is doing now:
GMA News@gmanews

"Hindi biktima, hindi martir, hindi bayani, hindi inaapi si Sen. Bato dela Rosa." Ito ang tahasang sinabi ni ACT Teachers Rep. Antonio Tinio, sabay giit sa liderato ng Senado na huwag protektahan si Dela Rosa na nahaharap sa warrant of arrest mula sa International Criminal Court. | via @Isa_Umali Bisitahin ang gmanetwork.com/news para sa iba pang updates.

The HoR delay in transmitting impeachment articles against Sara Duterte is tied to efforts to reinstall Tito Sotto in the Senate. If evidence is strong, conviction shouldn’t depend on who presides. But they crocs really want the clown from #EatBulaga to preside para sure. 😁

Jed Patrick Mabilog was just appointed by Bongbong Marcos as undersecretary of the DILG. This administration is taking the country in a deeply troubling direction. Corrupt na nga, drug lord pa! pna.gov.ph/articles/10139…

I like the demeanor of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano right now combative and unafraid to confront Tito Sotto and Ping Lacson head-on. If he’s serious about accountability, he should reopen the Blue Ribbon flood control corruption probe and revisit the “18 Marines” issue.
