We stayed at a hotel and went to the free breakfast buffet. There's an omelet bar but the line is so long we just ignored it and served ourselves (bagels, fruit, yogurt, juice, etc). Imagine our surprise when we were halfway through eating and a staff member puts this on the table without a word and walks away. The "free" buffet "costs" $20 each but there's a "discount" because it's free. We seated ourselves, served ourselves, and cleaned up after ourselves. Why in the world would we leave a tip? Well not even I saw this size of a dump coming in such a short matter of time. -40% in two trading days so far. On nothing fundamental whatsoever. A straight up manufactured smackdown. Tbh I never expected it to continue over -10% today. I expected #China to slingshot it atleast +15% +20% today to repair 1/2 of the dump or more.. My best guess was that they pushed prices down in the early trading hours to trigger liquidations of new longs that entered on Friday’s lows, and then reverse higher into a strong green close. But we’re already almost moving past that “early hours” window, so that scenario now looks more unlikely. Looks like more downside ahead is on the table. I honestly don’t mind, since I’ve raised a lot of cash. What is annoying is seeing people who completely missed the move now getting a second chance, especially the crypto crowd. I would much rather see them forced to chase than being handed cheap entries into the #miners 🫠 I expect new ATH’s in #Silver within 1-3 months even though we see this. Note: It’s honestly wild that it’s only February 2 and #Silver is down almost 40% over the last two trading days, and yet #Silver is still positive YTD.🤣 Easy down - Easy up.
