This is scary, Ireland has changed so much in the last few years for this woman not to feel safe if she wanted to go for a walk pretty much sums up how let down the Irish people, in a few weeks time if the NGO's and our rulers get their way woman and mother is going to be erased, My advice to any young Irish family is get out while you can, move to a Country that has proper border controls, vetting for criminals somewhere like Australia that is safe to walk around without the fear of being raped or murdered.

In 1925, a man flying from Casablanca to Dakar photographed a Barbary Lion in the Atlas Mountains. This photo is special because it's the last known picture of a wild Barbary Lion before they went extinct. This lion, often called the Egyptian Lion, was famous its size and strength. It was the kind of lion that fought gladiators in ancient Rome. They were known for their big, impressive manes, which they probably grew because it's colder in the Atlas Mountains.

I received a call from a man claiming to have Irish and Pakistani heritage who asked me to officiate his marriage ceremony in Tallaght. After sending him the necessary application form and receiving it back with all details filled in, my assistant Imam prepared the marriage certificate. As I made my way to the given address last night, I noticed the absence of cars, which seemed odd for a wedding gathering. When I called the person, he instructed me to reverse the car and meet him outside a different house in the same street. Following his instructions, I encountered him and another man who both appeared fully Irish and spoke with Irish accents. Upon opening the passenger door to collect the certificate, my memory becomes blank. The next memory I have is sitting in the driver's seat of my car, feeling disoriented and confused about why I was there. Luckily, an Irish lady and two Irish men had come to my aid and informed me that help was on the way. It became evident that the two men who struck me intended to harm me rather than rob me, shocking me with the degree of premeditation involved. Despite surviving the attack with my belongings intact (watch gifted by my late father, phone and car), except for my wallet, I contacted my friends and members of my community immediately. Five friends arrived within 15 minutes, and I was advised to go to James Connolly Hospital instead of Tallaght hospital. A friend drove me in my car to the hospital while others made their way in their cars to the hospital also. After several hours of waiting, I underwent a CT scan and finally had a consultation with a doctor who gave me a positive prognosis, concluding that I had no brain injury or broken jaw, but rather tissue damage that caused severe swelling and pain, making it difficult to open my mouth. Alhamdulillah! (This painful process took 10 hours due to the healthcare crisis we have.) It appears that the attackers were not aware of my identity and may have targeted any Imam or Muslim leader. Their actions likely stemmed from the prevailing racism and anti-migrant, anti-Muslim sentiments in Ireland. It would have been more constructive had they engaged in conversation with me and recognised that migrants and Muslims are not the underlying issue. We are ordinary human beings just like everyone else. This incident has left my community distressed, as it highlights the vulnerability of ordinary migrants to such violence. I want to express my deep gratitude to the Irish lady and men who came to my aid when I was unconscious after the attack. The outpouring of support and well-wishes from people across Ireland, including political and faith leaders, artists, journalists, activists, the Irish themselves, and migrants, has been heartening during this challenging time. This experience has reinforced my determination to preserve Ireland's compassion and unity, and protect it from hatred and division. I firmly believe that Ireland is a beautiful country, and the love and support I have received only strengthens that belief. While I hope the culprits are caught, I also hold the desire to communicate with them and offer forgiveness and prayers for their guidance. 🤲🏻☘️🇮🇪

Unbelievable frigging mess. The crisis in the disability sector will only deepen with these amateurs in govt. There has been no OT in North Louth for as long as I've been living here. Why not fill these crucial vacancies instead of continuing with this pathetic once-off strategy

@LorraineF24 @aaronmcgrattan @juneshannon The day will come you will be looking for a smile, acknowledgement, decency, maybe even warmth. It seems to me it's you who is living a very privileged existence if you don't rely on those things. Personally, they saved my life. ✌️

Went into a shop in Dublin City centre this evening. Went to pay at the till said hello smiled & handed my items to the cashier who was chatting to his mate. He continued to chat with his mate for the entire transaction without once looking at or even acknowledging my existence.

@LorraineF24 @juneshannon I grew up in a communist country, where ppl rarely smiled or interacted. Coming to the West made a fundamental difference to my life. It's not 'entitlement' to expect a bit of humanity, acknowledgement. It's basic human need. Doesn't cost anything to show decent manners either.
