After spending hours reading the Bible and explaining, my mom started speaking in tongues in the middle of prayers during morning devotion. My dad got tired & said, “Mbok close this prayer, make we go find our daily bread. If dem leave you, na tomorrow we go share grace.” Me: thank you daddy. If prayer never reach 4 hours, my mama body no dey rest 🤦‍♀️

Sunday Prayer ✝️ Dear God, this Sunday I come before You with a grateful heart. Please forgive me for the times I overlooked Your goodness and fixed my eyes on what I lacked rather than the many blessings You have poured out. Father, thank You for the trials that deepened my faith, the doors You shut for my safety, and the season of waiting that readied me for greater things. Help me trust Your perfect timing, walk by faith, and meet each day with a thankful spirit. Amen.

Dear Husband, A woman does not decide to be your wife and choose to be faithful because you are Mr. Perfect. She is faithful because she is a woman of character. She chooses you every day because she honours her vows, even on the days you are difficult to love. She protects your home because that is the kind of woman she decided to become, it's not because you have never given her reasons to do otherwise. But don't mistake her character for a reason to become careless. Don't assume that because she is not the type to cheat, she no longer needs your affection and don't believe that because she stays, she no longer needs to be pursued. A woman can remain loyal while slowly withdrawing her heart. Nature does not tolerate empty spaces. If you stop investing in your marriage, she may not seek another man, as a lot of people are quick to think, but she will find somewhere else to pour herself. She may bury herself in work, lose herself in motherhood, devote herself to church or build a life where you are no longer at the centre of her joy. One day, you may wake up to realise that she is still your wife, but no longer your closest companion. Don't let it get that far. It doesn't have to. Listen when she speaks, especially when her words make you uncomfortable. Notice the sacrifices she no longer mentions. Thank her for the things that have become so normal you barely see them anymore. Hold her hand for no reason. Laugh with her. Pray with her. Date her long after the wedding. Make memories she will still smile about twenty years from now. Become the safest place she knows. A loyal wife is one of God's greatest gifts to a man, but even the strongest marriages do not thrive on loyalty alone. Strong marriages thrive on intentional love, mutual honour, daily kindness and the decision to keep choosing each other every single day. Meet her loyalty with your own. Meet her commitment with presence. Meet her love with firm leadership that serves, not one that controls. Do that consistently, and your marriage will become a place where two imperfect people make each other feel secure in a world that offers very little certainty. Something many people spend a lifetime searching for. Have an amazing Sunday.

Dear Lord, Today, I come to You with a humble heart. Search me and show me what needs to change, then give me the courage to obey You. Wash me clean, renew my spirit, and draw me close so my life reflects Your light. Quiet fear and confusion, keep my eyes lifted to You, and guide my steps with wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen🙏🏽

Father God, today I ask You to remind me that You’re walking with me through life. You know when I’m tired, tempted to stress out, and heading towards overwhelm. But with Your help, I can still stay in peace and walk in the center of Your will. My family and I need a life-changing blessing, a supernatural touch that straightens out all the messy parts of our lives right now. I believe that we receive this because You love us. In Jesus Name I pray, amen. 🙏

Storytelling Family Drama… This morning was one of those mornings. You wake up…fully awake. But negotiating with the bed about your resignation from sleeping. 😂 I woke up at my usual time. My body alarm had done its job. My body, however, filed an appeal. So I surrendered. I put my favorite song on low volume… Closed my eyes… And allowed my mind to travel to about 101 different countries without applying for a visa. Then I overheard a conversation outside. Daughter: Mom, where is your husband? 😂 I smiled. That question had confidence. Mom: What kind of question is that? Don’t you know his room? Classic Nigerian mother. No long grammar. No unnecessary explanation. Using questions to answer a question. 😂😂 My daughter immediately switched accents. “Sorry oooo!” The Nigerian accent arrived with immediate repentance. Silence. Then she switched back to her American accent. “I think Dad needs breakfast in bed.” Now the conspiracy began. The two of them disappeared into the kitchen. A few minutes later… Breakfast landed on my bed like I had just returned from winning the Olympic gold medal. I didn’t ask questions. When blessings arrive, don’t interrogate them. Just say, “Thank you.” 😂 My conclusion? Pray to have a daughter. One minute she’s asking suspicious questions. The next minute she’s organizing room service for her father. Somebody said daughters are expensive. True. But sometimes they pay dividends you can eat. ❤️

Storytelling Family Drama… Many years ago, a young lady found herself living a life she never imagined. To survive, she got involved in hookups and even lived in a hotel in Nnewi, where men come to pick them up. Eventually, she found her way to Spain. Life gradually changed. Years later, while visiting London, she met a man. They became friends. Friendship became courtship. Courtship became marriage. But before she said “I do,” she did something many people are too afraid to do. She told him everything. She told him about her past in Nigeria. She told him how she survived in Spain. She hid nothing. The man listened quietly. Not the edited version. No filters. No “I’ll tell him after the wedding.” The whole story. Then he said something she never expected: “Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me the truth.” He married her anyway. Three years later, one of the men from her past resurfaced. His mission? He threatened to expose her unless she paid him £100,000. She looked at him and probably thought, “You’re about three years late.” Wrong address. 😂 She simply turned to her husband and said, “Remember everything I told you before we got married? One of those men has returned.” Her husband wasn’t shocked. He wasn’t angry. He wasn’t confused. There were no emergency explanations. No sleepless nights trying to invent stories. Together, they went to the police. The blackmailer was arrested and charged. Imagine if she had hidden her past. The blackmailer wouldn’t have been asking for £100,000. He would have been charging interest because he knew he owned the secret. And would keep coming back as blackmailers do. Many people think honesty destroys relationships. A secret you hide from your spouse can become someone else’s business. Truth may make the wrong person walk away before marriage. That’s ok. But it also prevents the wrong person from controlling your marriage afterward. It destroys manipulation. Often, it destroys blackmail. It destroys fear. But a hidden truth can destroy a marriage after it begins. Sometimes the greatest wedding gift you can give your future spouse…is a past they already know. Some of the strongest marriages begin with two people brave enough to tell the whole truth… before they promise forever. ❤️

Always remember... Men are the PRIZE. And women are the PRICE. There is nowhere a woman is mandated to spend any money during her wedding. But the man must spend to marry his wife. She positions herself and wins the PRIZE through femininity, respect and faithfulness. While he shows love through leadership, protection and provision (PRICE). That is why the bride is always the happiest during wedding ceremony. Because she is the winner of the PRIZE. Good morning.
