When god is about to show you the growth from your pain and the serpent speaks. That's how you know its real.

@GigaBasedDad Thats always been true. Dark triad personalities don't need to be smart. And most of the time dumb people are aggressive.

Posting about something I'm not certain of/have been trying to come to an answer about on my own is honestly terrifying. I feel like there's this massive expectation for me to always have an answer. But some times, a lot of the time, I'm still learning. I'm only 20 after all.

@PhrogPollenYT So if your nature isn't to sin, then god wouldn't have needed to send jesus to give his life. Some parents would just raise great children and they would change our culture.

It's my opinion (and many Christians disagree) that we don't sin because we have a sin nature, we have a sin nature because we sin. At every temptation, we have a choice. We aren't forced to sin. But every one of us does, constantly. And our sin corrupts our nature.

@PhrogPollenYT Genesis? Adam and eve had almost pure genetics, lived almost a thousand years. It was halved after Noah's arc. They became vulnerable after the first sin as you see with caine and able. Now genetics are so bad its hard to escape from basic.

And for clarification, this is something I'm still mostly undecided on. I'm studying the Bible to fully understand where the idea of sin nature came from.

Well, no, I do believe we all have sinned, we're all fallen, we're all bad. It's just entirely our fault, the result of our decisions and actions - we have control over it but each one of us fail. That's why Jesus was able to be sinless as a human.
Electrofier@electrofier

I don't agree but won't give you flack for it. I think when we become Christians we start a battle of putting our flesh to death. It's a refining process. Otherwise there would be people who are perfect out there and Paul wouldn't have that thorn in the flesh he talks about in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10.
