Upon rewatch is prob Nolan’s best I just don’t have the heart to place it above The Dark Knight

@Leofunfacts @sw_holocron Episode 9 is the absolute best example of what he means though. It's basically the longest apology letter ever put on the big-screen and it only made fans angrier. Why? Because studios are never in touch with audiences as much as they like to think. They play it safe, no risks.

I really like Dunkirk, never really agreed with people saying it’s low/mid-tier Nolan. Feels like a very streamlined distillation of what he does well as a filmmaker without most of the quirks I usually dislike in his work.
