I remember in early 2025 saying that the sloppiness in aviation was going to lead to more problems and a bunch of ye ye ass too clever by half stats nerds were telling me it's fine, safer than driving, outliers etc. Redditors dont understand that you can't wait for the stats to tell you you have a problem

Desktop users with scheduled tasks who are in a timezone that observed daylight saving time were affected by an infinite loop. When the app tried to locate tasks scheduled during the “skipped” hour, it couldn’t resolve them and got stuck.

Some users who have scheduled tasks in Cowork or Code are experiencing an issue with the Claude desktop app being unresponsive this morning. We have an active incident open and are investigating. status.claude.com

@tayloramurphy I love when Claude gives me two options, then recommends the worse option because it’s less work. Once I tell it that it will be doing the work…”you’re right, the more thorough option is optimal…” then finishes the work in 2 min

@AlexNoonan6 @AlexPrejean Temporal is how I built the runner I use at work when I want Claude to e.g. monitor a PR and fix any build errors.
For what I'm building Claude is currently trying to convince me to roll my own everything.

@ejames_c @brianluidog Odd tidbit: as a junior golfer I’d notice players talking to their ball mid flight, telling it to go further/shorter. Everyone got it wrong at some point, giving instructions to go when it needed to sit. Always kept my mouth shut and focused on the next shot. Never looked dumb

man I love that AI can generate graphs and UIs for me on the fly. though sometimes I get tired of seeing different things each time I come back to the AI with the same question. anybody know of a way to have the AI determinstically output the same thing each time when I come back to it? would be great if we could define it once then reuse it. who's working on this?
