It’s hard to put it in words but Marathon is truly the most fun I’ve had in a first person multiplayer game in so long. I do believe the extraction wording alone probably sways people away. I truly believe people are missing out on it. There’s nothing else like it

I don’t know what Sony or Bungie are thinking regarding their alleged sales numbers, and to be frank with you I don’t really care. What I do care about is playing Marathon for as long as I can, and I hope that someone will see this game has legs and that the smart choice is to nurture and let it grow. I think open weekends with progress carry over, I think continuing to listen to feedback and updating the game, and doubling down on the game will bring people over in the long term. I’m just a guy, I just play video games and post memes and stream for your enjoyment, so I’m not going to strain myself over things that are completely out of my control. I will say though that rooting for layoffs, rooting for failure and suffering for people who make this or any other game is a sign of social failure, of a lack of functioning empathy and a by extension a failure at being human. I think they’re deplorable and it’s embarrassing to have to share the same online spaces with people like that. Your misery is not our problem.

Jensen Huang has responded to the comments calling DLSS 5 AI slop: "First of all, they're completely wrong. The reason for that is because, as I have explained very carefully, DLSS 5 fuses controllability of the geometry and textures and everything about the game with generative AI. It’s not post-processing, it’s not post-processing at the frame level, it’s generative control at the geometry level." He has also added: "This is very different than generative AI; it’s content-control generative AI. That’s why we call it neural rendering" What are your thoughts on this?

I don’t think you understand, the public doesn’t want art direction, they want to play “high res photos - the game” starring their AI girlfriends as protagonists - not carefully curated ideas that create a fingerprint for an IP - all IP will look the same, I can’t wait for meta glasses to use this tech so everyone on earth is my AI girlfriend
