@yemisi @Tom12Hathaway First of all it's Tlaib. Not that hard of a name to spell. Secondly, you'll find it extremely shocking to pass bills like Medicare for All when people that you worked for would rather capitulate to the Insurance industry while thousands die every year. Also you support genocide

@Tom12Hathaway And show me the bills that Rashida Tlalib and Ilhan Omar have introduced and actually passed? Quickly! A whole squad of “legislators” hmmm

@AustinHoney30 @whoseurlefty If she's unwilling to call out a genocide for what it is I find her entirely unserious on the rest of her platform that she ran on. She can prove me wrong I guess.

Heat fall to 11-11 this year when Tyler Herro plays 27-20 otherwise which is good for a .574 win percentage or pace for between a 47/48 win season.

With $21 MILLION in dark money from AIPAC flooding into the IL primary, today will decide who is louder: the people or wealthy Republican donors. I stand with working people, and so do the candidates I've endorsed across the state. We don’t need to match them dollar for dollar, but the progressive investment across the state helps us stay in the ring! Let’s go!!

@GregCasar If you cared about the future of the Dem Party you'd do your part to stop the Congressional Progressive Caucus from endorsing people like Grace Meng while a genocide is ongoing.
AIPAC Tracker@TrackAIPAC

@Grace4NY Grace Meng supports spending billions of our tax dollars on unlimited weapons for Israel. Support @chuckforqueens instead!

If you care about the future of Democratic Party, you should be watching today's elections in Illinois. AIPAC spent $22 million to try to punish candidates who stand up for human rights. We have to get big money out of politics. politico.com/news/2026/03/1…

@AlexSheltman This is why I have abandoned major media consumption discourse. Its just not worth it to be that upset over things so minor when the world is as drab as ever

Scrolling the timeline and every tweet is a complaint about literally every winner of an Oscar last night. From Amy Madigan to MBJ both "not being that good", OBAO in general, Sinners being a From Dusk till Dawn remake, Frankenstein costume design. Society is so miserable

@2008Philz @Phillyfloyd He also dramatically lowered the amount of bat movement. Can't help but wonder if his swing was always late because his arms were tired from bobbing the bat for 10 seconds.

Bryson Stott: - hit .307 with an .864 OPS in August - hit .313 with an .896 OPS in Sept/Oct - hitting .391 with a 1.196 OPS this spring All after a mechanical adjustment at the plate. I don’t think this is an illusion.

@leftwingalt @admcrlsn It's not dishonest but if he wins we can revisit this when he does or doesn't. I have no problem admitting I was wrong if he opts not to.

@AlexSheltman @admcrlsn Labelling Biss as a likely vote for genocide is just entirely dishonest. He's just as much of a liberal zionist as both Bernie Sanders and Brad Lander

An issue I have with this argument — apart from being nearly two weeks into early voting — is assuming the lion’s share of Bushra’s voters would vote for Kat if she dropped out and endorsed her. Bushra openly dislikes Kat, and based on what I’ve heard from voters and reporters on the ground I’d bet good money many of her supporters do too — and would rather vote for Simmons, Biss, or still vote for Bushra in protest. It’s much more complicated than just ideology and issue positions alone.
Adam Carlson@admcrlsn

Fair or unfair, if Kat loses by a smaller margin than Bushra’s vote share, many of Kat’s (extremely vocal) supporters are going to blame Bushra for her loss — and it may very well kill any future she has in Chicagoland progressive politics.

@mcmill2008 @umichvoter Missing the forest for the trees is certainly a choice. When Biss wins and sends more arms to Israel for genocide, I'm sure he will sleep well at night in his IL-9 apartment as a non-carpetbagger. I'm sure you will too.

@mcmill2008 @umichvoter I'm not talking about Kat specifically, I'm talking about any candidate in general. I don't care where the fuck they live if they are going to fight fascism unapologetically. You however do care about something absolutely worthless.

@AlexSheltman @umichvoter Kat lives in one of the most expensive buildings located in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Chicago. 💀 She’s not being price gouged by anybody lmfao If she wanted to be IL-09’s champion against fascism, she would live among us, not in her rich ass boyfriend’s condo.

@mcmill2008 @umichvoter Correct, I don't and if Kat moved to my district tomorrow and announced a 2028 run I'd start door knocking instantly to unseat the genocide supporting AIPAC Dem currently occupying the seat who is a long time resident.

@umichvoter Kat does not live in this district, she just moved to IL a year ago, and she has never voted here. I cannot believe so many people are standing ten toes down for a carpetbagger who lives in fucking Streeterville and has no qualifications for any office, let alone Congress.

@camkasky @bushraamiwala Bushra already disavowed the ad, and it even says at the end that it was created without her permission. And if she doesn't win this time, I'm sure she will win in the next election because her base here is real. Kat, I'm sure will end up continuing this carpet baggery and leave

Respectfully, @bushraamiwala not dropping out and endorsing Kat at this point is pretty outrageous and would preemptively trash any future moves she is interested in making. She probably has people around her telling her she can pull through and that is just obviously false.
Ryan@RyanInEvanston

IL-09: Bushra Amiwala is supported in a new digital ad from AIPAC-backed super PAC Chicago Progressive Partnership. First aired on YouTube yesterday. The PAC has previously attacked Abughazaleh. (Appears to be an attempt to further divide the progressive vote.)
