It’s quite an Irish-specific thing. Pals in England have matching mugs on stands, we dig out: one from a 90’s Easter Egg, one novelty slogan, one with your initial, a branded freebie, and a faded photo mug. No Irish person has 6 matching mugs. 😜

@richardosman just listening to your podcast about ideas based on dreams. I remember @jonholmes1 telling me about an idea he wrote down after a dream. When he checked the note in the morning all it said was 'milky arm'...

Look, I’m not going to have a row with my husband on our wedding anniversary of all days. But, BIZARRELY, he had never before heard the expression “It’s not the hen that cackles most that lays the largest egg”. He’s just laughing incredulously and implying I made it up.
