@BrianSuttererMD Short answer: no. Long answer: no, he has terrible mechanics, zero fastball command and demonstrates no off speed pitches. Best thing this kid could do is learn how to throw a changeup.

Someone help me out here because all I see is serious risk of elbow and shoulder injuries in college, if not before. Is this velocity with such reckless form actually going to help with college offers?

@shegone03 This video looks to be an assessment of some type. Maybe a retest to see if the weight room and mechanical adjustments are working. Which is why you see force plates and exit velo tracking. You be surprised, but I'm willing to bet this isn't this kids normal workout.

No wonder everyone keeps getting hurt! How long can you swing as hard as you possibly can on every swing? Can’t you get WHIPLASH from turning your head this fast after every swing? The human body will eventually break down and this type of training is speeding up the process. @TheWiseSultan @shegone03 This comment and post are dumb. The kid knows his stats and wants to get better. Why do you think he is training at Driveline? You saw one short clip of a few swings, and suddenly your a expert on why he may have struggled.

Today was emotional for me as a father. It has been 22 months since Trey has pitched in a game due to TJ surgery. I have seen the ups & downs, frustrations & the pain. Today he got to toe the rubber & compete with his Crowder boys! Proud of his toughness & work ethic! 1st pitch!

@nextlevelbb A few months ago, my school hosted a camp for high school athletes, and I recorded pitch velocities using a Stalker radar gun. Another coach was using a Jugs gun, which consistently measured 2–4 mph higher than the Stalker.

Challenge. Set up a Ray gun. a Jugs gun. a Stalker gun. and Trackman. at a game. and tell us the difference between the readings. It would be educational for a lot of people.
