English

Alexander Technique assists in the acquisition of skill & the honing of method. Retune, recalibrate, then start all over again. Be an lifelong student, of yourself. #AlexanderTechnique

@QiaochuYuan If your knees are falling outward, move the feet away from each other a little. If the knees are falling together, move the feet a little closer. Also, feet not too close to the bottom.

1. semi-supine. this is something i learned from a friend who gave me an alexander technique session. the books under the head are important. you want to balance your knees in a way that feels effortless which will take some messing around

@suzemargar Hah, yes! Seen the same, a bucket of cement with a wooden pole (slightly off centre) sticking out, about 5-6Kg. When grasping the wooden pole, you realise just how amazing it is that we are upright at all.
English

@AlexTechRich This was well illustrated to me by an AT Teacher some years ago. They handed me a ten pin bowling ball attached to a short pole to hold aloft. Needed both hands. Making me recognise weight of the head & how vital keeping it well poised is as impacts on spine. Thanks for reminder!
