I’ve warned Europeans about this before, but if the US stops seeing Europe as a partner to help contain China, it will go looking for a different partner to support. Maybe a large country that borders China, with nukes and oil. The worst case for Europe isn’t merely a neutral US.

Are you daft? What does that have to do with the US being an untrustworthy business? Whataboutism. You were payed for weapons you refuse to deliver. Countries will now understand that the US does not keep to its business obligations, and therefore cannot be trusted. Which means countries will find alternatives and move away from American trade. Imagine you walk into a store, pay for goods, and then the store refuses to give you what you payed for, and keeps your money. That's the US.
