@super509219312 @IBKR This is obviously a different level of concern and seems to show that they're not being careful about their updates. In the 7yrs of using them, most issues have been the annoying types, not mini heart attack types
For me, if there's another major type of issue, then I'm moving

@super509219312 @IBKR The first was a platform update. The did a beta update and TWS stopped communicating with outside documents. The solution was to switch to the stable platform, which I did. Problem solved. Annoying but no concerns

Hi @IBKR , I really enjoy waking up in the morning finding out that you've had another issue with a software update, the 2nd in a month
This time, your issue cancelled all open buy/sell orders and stop losses overnight
After 7yrs of using your platform, I'm quickly losing trust

Lavonte David fighting back tears on being a girl dad 🥹
“Being a masculine man, you want to have a son so he can follow in your footsteps… But having a girl helped me become a man. It helped me understand what’s important in life, and she definitely does that daily.”
I love this.

Lavonte David got very emotional talking about his late parents and how much they meant to him... Powerful stuff. "Growing up where I grew up, it ain't easy. But they found a way for me. And you don't understand that until you get older and have kids of your own. The sacrifices they made. The things they do for you." 🥹

I won’t lie to you….
I’d do exactly the same in his position.

Today is #StPatricksDay - so it’s highly appropriate that my brand-new @Motor_Sport column should pay tribute to that great Irishman 🇮🇪, an #F1 legend if ever there was one, Eddie Jordan, who passed away almost exactly a year ago. Click below to read it.

Everyone’s talking about the K-shaped economy—the rich pulling away while everyone else stagnates.
In our inaugural Stripe Economics post, I take a look at @stripe + macro data, and I see the K on Wall Street, but not yet on Main Street:
• The most profitable third of US public companies now account for ~2/3 of total market cap—the highest on record.
• The S&P 500 rose 16.5% in 2025, and the top 1% own ~40% of all equities. So unsurprisingly the top 1% wealth share has risen (~2pp) since 2022.
• BUT, Stripe data suggest lower-income household spending has been growing faster than high-income households over the last few years.
• Wages tell a similar story: real earnings at the 10th percentile grew ~0.5pp slower than the 90th since 2022, but BOTH posted positive real wage growth.
• Why? 1) The wealthy hold lots of equities but only account for ~25% of consumer spending. 2) Real wages at the bottom have been supported by continued labor market tightness post-pandemic, though this may cool.

Grand Prix in the 60s and 70s: it’s hard to summarize a whole decade in just a minute, but let’s just say it wasn’t for the faint of heart. This is raw footage, and I’m not sugarcoating anything. It was rough, it was dangerous, it was fast, the cars were incredible, and most importantly, it was incredibly fun to watch. But behind the glamour and speed was a darker reality, driver fatalities were shockingly common, the cars were unsafe, the circuits were poorly equipped, and medical response was almost nonexistent.
