If we win our game tonight and OTT, DET, and CBJ lose in regulation that puts us up on Columbus and Detroit, and 1 pt back of Ottawa with a chance to pass them on Saturday. Is there not a scenario in which we in fact control our own destiny after tonight?

The number can move tonight by anywhere from 1 to 5 because we can clinch the tiebreaker over PHI.
Tiebreaker is clinched if we win in reg. or PHI does not.
Scenarios attached, they are divided by the result of our game.
We play at 6:45 while the other big games are at 7:00.

@rattmartin All we can do is take it day by day and see what happens. The worst of the collapse is already over. Remember the last time they were a long shot they went on a miracle run and got in. If they win and get tommorow results they're back in control, let's just see how this plays out

@IslesDen Detroit wins then it officially puts us ahead of Columbus, then it means a win for us on Thursday and a Detroit loss puts us in control of our own destiny. We have to win out though. A lot riding on this Ottawa game.

@AlexanderLindor Nah we need Detroit to win badly. Because Detroit plays PHI Thursday and if DET wins tonight, that would mean we can control our paths against potentially DET/CBJ Thursday night with a win. We need TB because we play OTT.

I'll wait to hear Darche's full media availability, but basically what I want to hear is this:
1) The moves I made haven't worked out.
2) I didn't see the team coming out of this slump.
3) DeBoer was an opportunity to lock in the HC and see if it sparks the final four games.

And just like that...the Mets take 3 of 4 in San Francisco. They are 6-4. The offense was electric all weekend. The pitching has been sensational.

By the time the #isles play their next game they will likely be the 12th seed in the Easter conference I cannot remember in my lifetime a more epic late season collapse by them than this one and it all falls squarely on the shoulders of the general manager.
