I am on my way to Sunderland for our official election launch with some good news. Reform UK has now led in 250 consecutive opinion polls. The progress of our party since the last election is nothing short of extraordinary.

@CitizenSuburbia @slbsn Yes, I covered this in an article last year - funding might support public squares, roads or nearby housing but won’t fund stands. However that could change. After all, the new stadium is the anchor for the wider development. If so, it’s important to consider Subsidy Control.

Today the Competition Appeal Tribunal will hear an application by Durham County Council to stay Subsidy Control proceedings against two claims relating to the award of grants towards hospitality businesses.

I’m not surprised GB News is showing an interest in Subsidy Control law. After all, if Reform did come to power they could use the legislation to curb public funding on activities they didn’t like… gbnews.com/lifestyle/cars…

@danbardell When we were winning we exploited very fine margins. Teams adapted, so now we need to find new edges. There’s no better manager & our squad is good enough to qualify for the Champions League.

#AVFC look out of ideas. Currently the worst functioning attack in league, midfield decimated and have tried to go back to basics defensively and are now worse for it. Next week the last chance to try and get any form of momentum back.

As developed western economies increased the share of workers with academic qualifications, the earnings premium for a degree continued to move upwards. The sole exception here is the UK where over the last 25 years university degrees saw their pay premium shrink.
