Netanyahu spoke to a few reporters. He insists Israel is not dragging the world to war, and explained how he envisions reshaping the middle east so that oil pipelines flow through Israel. (And despite rumors, he was really there and alive)

In 1507-15, the Portuguese crown built the fort of Our Lady of the Conception in Hormuz, to control trade from India and charge hefty tolls to passing ships. From the outset, holding the fort and controlling the Strait of Hormuz required constant fighting with local emirs; by 1662 the Shah of Persia (backed by British forces) took it for good. After a detailed account of the back-and-forth in a fierce and bloody seven‑month naval battle in 1521–22 in the Strait of Hormuz, Commander Saturnino Monteiro, in the first volume of his treatise "Batalhas e Combates da Marinha Portuguesa,” concluded: "...and thus ended this stupid and useless war of Hormuz, with everything remaining as it had been before."

DOHA — Iranian attacks ‌have knocked out 17% of Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity, causing an estimated $20 billion in lost annual revenue and threatening supplies to Europe and Asia, QatarEnergy's CEO and state minister for energy affairs told Reuters.

Araghchi trying to explain nuclear fuel production to Witkoff and Kushner at talks in Oman in February, because the US negotiators did not bring technical experts: Amwaj report: amwaj.media/en/article/ins… “Informed Iranian political sources familiar with the talks additionally highlighted that the lack of nuclear expertise on the part of Kushner and Witkoff, in addition to the absence of a technical team, caused consternation in the negotiations. According to the senior source, “Araghchi on several occasions explained the stages of nuclear fuel production and the difference between an enrichment facility and a reactor to Witkoff, yet the US negotiator still believed that the Tehran Research Reactor was an enrichment facility producing radio-medicines.”

@ThreshedThought Well, Iran, a despicable regime, was not responsible for 7/10. Also, the Taliban that you fought in Afghanistan were funded, for years, by Saudi Arabia and helped by Pakistan (Iran actually helped USA in the initial invasion). That guy knows nothing about what he's talking about.

❗️The US is lifting sanctions on Belarus. Belinvestbank, the Development Bank, and Belarus’ Ministry of Finance are now off the sanctions list. There are also reports of a planned visit by Lukashenko to the US. What is going on? So is the next move the US teaming up with Russia and going against Iran?

1/ Denmark was reportedly preparing for full-scale war with the US over Greenland in January, with military support from France, Germany, and Nordic nations. Elite troops and F-35 jets with live ammunition were sent, and runways were to be blown up to prevent an invasion. ⬇️

@AlexandreCruz @MonicaLMarks I can understand both sides of the original argument here. But, the thing is, Iran hasn't been attacking only the US bases in the Gulf nations. Non-military places in those countries have been hit too. And, not hit by chance. Targetted and hit.

Accurate response to Murtaza Hussain’s claim that hosting a base deletes neutrality if the base country makes war on another. When Iran started attacking Gulf states (inc their civilian infrastructure) on Feb 28, they’d all refused to let the US attack Iran from their countries.
Arash Azizi آرش عزیزی@arash_tehran

No Murtaza, this isn’t indeed how overseas military bases work. Hosting bases of other countries don’t make the country party to all conflicts in those countries. It’s like if Pakistan attacked Oman because it hosts an Indian base. Or indeed if it attacked Sri Lanka or Nepal. Or if India attacked Saudis because they host the Pakistani military. Clearly this isn’t how states treat each other usually

1. Why does Nigel Farage use being a goat herder as an insult? 2. Being a goat herder requires much more skill, talent, endurance and heart compared to leading Reform UK and spewing lies and racist hate speech. 3. Goats are far better company than racists would ever be.

Saud Salman AlDossary | سعود بن سلمان الدوسري
Saudi Foreign Minister @FaisalbinFarhan delivers a powerful statement: “What has Iran truly contributed to the Islamic world prior to this war? Supporting the Houthis in Yemen. Supporting the Popular Mobilisation Forces in Iraq, which have not only targeted neighbouring states, but Iraq itself. Supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon, long a destructive arm carrying out destabilising activities across the region, including in Saudi Arabia. Where was the support for the Islamic world in backing the crimes of the former Syrian regime? Where was that support in the assassination of political figures in Lebanon? Where was it in empowering militias in Iraq to the point of hijacking political decision-making and stalling development? Where is the support for Islamic causes? I do not see it!”
