@debate_4Truth @abi4560 Daniel 9 teaches that the Messiah must come before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE. Jesus fits that timeline perfectly

@abi4560 ah, so you admit it is a jwish interpretation great, ever hear of a Messianic Jew? (modern day) not referencing all the Jews who believed Jesus is the Messiah from the first century

Isaiah 53 is a continuation of Isaiah 52. Have you read Isaiah 52?

The question of which modern denomination best matches "early Christianity" (1st-4th centuries) is inherently subjective, as the early church was unified before major schisms but also diverse in practice. That said, the Roman Catholic Church is frequently cited by historians for its direct apostolic succession, episcopal structure, sacraments (like the Eucharist as real presence), and continuity with early fathers like Ignatius and Irenaeus. It's also the largest Christian body in the U.S. and widely available in nearly every community. Eastern Orthodoxy shares similar ancient roots but has far fewer parishes here. Many Protestants emphasize returning to New Testament simplicity instead. Ultimately, study the sources yourself—Scripture, early writings, and visit local congregations.

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo That's an answer I can accept and I just ask you to research about it. It is the key to understand the Lord Jesus and the faith of the Earliest Christians. I don't care about winning.

@Alexandros995 @PracticalTheolo I’m admittedly not as familiar with the Hebrew as I am with the Greek. I would have to look into it more and you are barraging me with too many points that I don’t have endless energy to refute. It’s exhausting. You can have this one if it makes you happy. I can’t be bothered.

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo And quoting Paul doesn't help your case, He already has clarify that Jesus is God by applying Isaiah 45:23 to Jesus and invoking the name of the Lord Jesus for salvation, something you do only to God. He modify the Shema for the Lord in that passage you quote. He isn't confused

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo Quick math”? Quick logic: God says He created alone in Isaiah 44:24. But Wisdom is with Him in Proverbs 8, and the Spirit is present in Genesis. That’s three, yet God says He was alone! So the Three share the one divine NAME. Matthew 28:19 approve

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo And pardon, modern Christians? Are you aware that Jesus is God from day 0 of Christianity? Early Church Fathers 200 years before Nicea call Him God? Guys like St Ignatius of Antioch and St.Ireneus of Lyon, just at the top of my head. Do some research about it

@Alexandros995 @PracticalTheolo The Father and Christ share the titles in the same way God says “My name is IN him.” It’s divine image bearing; the ANE context that has always applied to Messiah but to which modern Christians like yourself are largely completely oblivious to thanks to false replacement theology

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo Divine image bearing? Jesus doesn’t bear divine prerogatives, He uses them. In John 10:28 He gives eternal life and claims absolute divine authority, then says He is One with the Father. That’s not agency. No angel ever did that. No angel receive worship nor sit on the Throne

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo He is publicly vindicating the Son with His own divine Name, the Name that belongs only to God. They share the same divine Name, the same Throne, and the same worship from ALL creation. That is co‑equality. Find me anyone who share the same Name of God in the Bible.

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo And yes (since you somehow missed it) the Name above every Name is the divine Name of God Himself, the very Name from Isaiah 45:23 who Paul apply to Jesus! So no, the Father is not handing a creature a new title.

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo So Wisdom is distinct from the Father, yet fully God, and one with Him. Have you found a creature who receive pelach, the One that the Son of Man receive alongside having the same title that God gave to Himself (First and the Last)? Just wondering

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo And btw I’ve already proven that Wisdom does what only God does in Scripture. No creature pours out His Spirit. Read Joel 2:28 and compare it with Proverbs 1:23. Wisdom says “I will pour out my Spirit”, which is a divine action.

@CrystalKalos @PracticalTheolo That’s why the New Testament identifies Christ as the Wisdom of God in 1 Corinthians 1:24 and says that all things were created through Him in Colossians 1:16–17.
