BREAKING: Trump leaning toward ground invasion, convinced Iran will then capitulate, a mediating official tells The Times of Israel.
An official from one of the countries mediating between the US and Iran tells The Times of Israel that US President Donald Trump appears to be leaning toward ordering a major US ground operation against Iran, with Washington convinced Tehran will buckle under such military pressure.
The official intimately familiar with the mediation efforts says the US privately recognizes that Iran is not likely to agree to the concessions presented in Washington’s 15-point plan and has dispatched thousands of troops to the region in order to capture Tehran’s Kharg Island on Trump’s orders.

Germans: the American West is essentially an object of religious reverence for them. This goes back at least a century.
Black Americans: the outdoors is not traditionally a major part of black culture. This is starting to change a bit on the margins, but it's still far from a default activity. The sort of people of other races who are just there because it's the place for Instagram, or who see the world as their trash can, or whatever - their black equivalents simply don't go. The folks out there are the ones who *want to be* out there for its own sake.

In my experience, the best-behaved groups in the American outdoors are Germans and black Americans. There are specific reasons why for both, and it's pretty interesting.
