I learned so much working in the Duggan administration last year and I’m incredibly excited to take that knowledge into the Sheffield administration, where I will serve in my same capacity as Deputy Director of Media Relations. Cheers to the new year and administration!

Wednesday marked the one year of me accepting the position of Deputy Director of Media Relations for the Mayor’s Office at the City of Detroit. I’ve learned a lot, made some amazing connections, and also got to know myself better in the process. I’m truly grateful!

Hopefully next year you don’t have to move to another city 🙏🏾

Career Update ‼️ I’m going into my second year out of news as the Deputy Director of Media Relations for the City of Detroit! I’m extremely excited to learn as much as possible in this new role with the city.

Seeing the students engaged like this, answering questions, listening and being present inside of the classroom is why we started this initiative in the first place ❤️ giving back to the city and its’ youth! So far @DetroitWaterDep has given away over 3,000 books and counting!

We’ve read to over 1000 DPSCD students since we’ve started our ‘DWSD children’s books’ initiative last month and we continue to do so all over the city. This is a photo of me reading one of those books to a class of kindergartners this week! #givingbacktothecommunity #freebooks

This morning had perfect weather for Detroit BuildOn to come out and paint fire hydrants in the city. DPSCD students from three different schools were able to strip and repaint a total of 7 hydrants near Detroit Blight Busters. @DetroitWaterDep

We had an amazing turn out at the senior event today and was able to hand out about two dozen Detroit Lifeline Plan sheets.. I even finished out the day with a bull ride! 🤣🤣

@AlexisWareNews good Morning, Ms. Ware: my cousin, Mr. Omar Ali has called the DWSD & Ombudsman to fix a broken hydrant on the corner of Rosa Parks & Puritan in Detroit; but, no one has come to that area to fix it
