@BylineTimes 'I hate English with a lower standard of uneducated!!! Let's bring in millions of low IQ brown rapists!!!'
English

@AlexndrosJames @Robbo291 Your entire account is just replying about how he isn't English because he's brown.
You are either an Elon bot (99% sure of this) or a sad troll who needs to get out of their mum's basement.
English

Comments are just sad man. Aaron Rai doing us proud 🏆🏴

😮 THE FIRST ENGLISHMAN TO WIN SINCE 1919 🎉
English

We Wolverhampton natives are incredibly proud of Aaron Rai, one of our own, for winning the US PGA ⛳️ Championship overnight. The first Englishman 🏴 to win it for 107 years. Phenomenal achievement 👏🏼

@DillyHussain88 The people who immigrate to the UK are the ones most prone to running during hard times.
English

@JohnCleese Why do people group together with their own ethnicities if it is just cultural?
English

It's not racism, it's culturalism
A culture that aims to overpower all other cultures cannot claim to be 'victimised' if people object
If this aggressive culture soft-pedalled the beheading threats, people might be less alarmed by it

Sadiq Khan plays the victim card and claims that Muslims in UK are scared and innocent victims of Islamophobia and racism.
English

@albieamankona You just want to smother the English with the word racist and deny their existence
English

We need to make racists scared again, absolute state on the replies to this, WELL DONE AARON!

The comments under this post are disgusting.
Including from prospective London Mayor (LOL), Ant Middleton.
Racism is unchained throughout our online community.
So sad. 😞

@byAlexPerry 'Brown man has accent' is not a reason to deny the English their existence
English

Despair at the replies to this.
You only have to hear Aaron speak, or hear anyone speak of him, for more than 10 seconds to understand he is the epitome of a true English gentleman.
Much more than you can say about these faceless “patriots” who will never achieve anything.

History maker! Congratulations Aaron Rai on your extraordinary win at the @PGAChampionship, the first English golfer to win for 107 years. bbc.co.uk/sport/golf/art…

@LondonTitan So how are they racist for disagreeing. You are admitting he isn't English in a racial sense
That is an extremely simple question.
English

@AlexndrosJames English is the name given to both an ethnicity and a nationality.
You can be called English if you’re of English ethnicity.
You can also be called English if you’re of English nationality.
This isn’t rocket science, it’s pretty simple stuff.
English

Aaron Rai was born and raised on the outskirts of Wolverhampton.
That makes him Wulfrunian, English, and British.
Rather than celebrate his historic success many people here just want to tear him down because of his skin colour.
When will such senseless racism stop?
Ever?

@LondonTitan You can't layer identities on top of people and then call people racist for peeling it all back.
If he is only of the English nationality which he isn't ( the passport says British) how can someone be a 'racist' when you admit it has nothing to do with race?
English

@AlexndrosJames I’m not denying the existence of anything.
I have said over a dozen times today that English is the name given to an ethnicity and also the name given to a nationality.
I’ve also said that ethnicity and nationality are different things.
These are facts; they’re not changing.

@lilyjayofficial Who cares about sports the children of England's future is more important

@nazirafzal brown man telling the English they are a disgrace while living in their country
English

I’ve never heard of #AaronRai but I’m delighted that this West Midlands born man has won the PGA
Something to be really proud of
The amount of abuse he’s getting online for being called an “Englishman” is a disgrace
Those wanting to deport him should know he lives in the US

Aaron Rai has become the first British Punjabi player to win a golf major, claiming the 2026 USPGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club, Pennsylvania, on Sunday 17 May. The win also ends England’s 107-year wait for a USPGA champion.
The 31-year-old, born in Wolverhampton, closed with a five-under 65 to finish three strokes ahead of Jon Rahm, with Rory McIlroy ending five strokes back.
Rai’s father, Amrik Singh, was born in England to a family with roots in Punjab. His mother, Dalvir Shukla, immigrated to England from Kenya as a teenager. He is married to Gaurika Bishnoi, a professional golfer from India.
Rai was a 290-1 long shot going into the tournament, making this one of the biggest underdog wins in major championship history. He collects $3.6 million from the record $20.5 million prize purse.
“You won’t find one person on property who’s not happy for him,” fellow major champion Rory McIlroy said. “All-world gentleman, no doubt,” added Xander Schauffele.
A historic moment for British Punjabi representation in golf.
