For all that Donald Trump has said in the past, often with little restraint and less reverence, there remains a higher standard when addressing matters tied to faith and divine order. Words spoken without humility, especially in relation to spiritual authority, carry consequences. History has shown that pride, when left unchecked, has a way of becoming its own undoing. Respect for God is not merely declared; it is demonstrated in speech, in posture, and in conduct. And where that reverence is absent, the fall is rarely far behind. Of all the reactions to the POTUS vs. Pope fight, the most preposterous is the demand that the president stick to politics and the pope to religion. Presidents can't govern without religion, and popes shepherds flocks that live in political communities.

Honestly, when I saw this picture of Trump I didn't think of Jesus at all. He looks more like an apostle is healing sick people. I'm a very strong born-again Christian. I wasn't even remotely offended. 99% of the people who were offended by this hated Trump anyway.
