The Caitlin Clark discourse is beyond annoying at this point. Watch the game and be excited that a Hawkeye is playing these games. It’s always something. Didn’t start, didn’t play enough, didn’t get enough shots, didn’t get enough passes. Come on man.

The fastest learners aren't always the smartest, they're the most humble. They ask more questions, make more attempts. They're not afraid to look like beginners. Ego slows us down. Stay curious like a scientist. Because it’s curiosity that moves us forward.

It’s not about winning at the 4th-7th grade. It’s about development and what players might look like at 16

Look. Ashlynn Miller should have an offer from every Nebraska school in the GPAC, American Rivers, MIAA and Northern Sun. Simple. Don’t make it harder than it is. #nebpreps

Players want to score more points. Coaches want players they can trust when the game’s on the line. Be the player who: - Communicates on every possession - Dives for every loose ball - Sacrifices stats for wins Your game will speak louder than your numbers.

The more I coach the more I am convinced: Bad players give up. Average players make excuses. Great players get determined

Tips for winning games late in the season 1. Play solid defense 2. Everyone is a Rebounder 3. Limit turnovers, don’t be fancy 4. You’re probably playing in a building with a higher ceiling and no background behind the hoop. Depth perception is a big deal Get the ball to the hoop.

If Iowa can get the lead, I think they win, but can they get it? Illinois has had all the answers tonight.

Your role isn’t punishment. It’s a responsibility. Every championship team has: Scorers Defenders Energy players Glue guys The question isn’t “Is my role big?” It’s “Am I big in my role?”

As many of you are entering your state sponsored district or regional tournaments, this will be the last time many of you will put on an athletic uniform. Don’t save it for the next game, leave everything on the floor, Give 110%, be a great teammate and play for one more day.

If you're complaining you're not leading. Leaders don't complain. They share a vision. They inspire with optimism. They focus on solutions.
