@shafii29110479 @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom I still have't clarified what was forbidden? Adoption. As in actual adoption Not hosting a kid as if it was a guest in your house. Giving the kid a family. I wrote this about twenty times in this thread. If you think my argument makes no sense, you completely missed it. All of it

@Alghisi_F @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom What Islam legislated has no influence based on the norms of the time so for you to claim the Prophet Muhammad forbade something (you still haven't clarified what was forbidden) to do this makes no sense.

@othmaanX @moloking500 @KhalilAndani It is still a servant Is it ONLY a servant? No. Big difference. I could work for my father, so I am his subordinate. Is that all I am to him? If Allah was a father in any sense, surely I would come to him as something different than 'just a slave'. Hope this clarifies.

A Christian apologetic argument says: Jesus called God “Father,” but the Qur’an rejects divine sonship; therefore the historical Jesus is incompatible with Islam. My new article answers this in detail: thinkingislam.com/p/allahandjesus 🧵

@shafii29110479 @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom In pre-islamic arab culture, adopted sons were considered sons. Marrying your son's wife was abhorrent (still is btw) Allah specifically changed this to accomodate Muhammad: if adopted sons were not sons anymore, nobody should bat an eye if Muhammad chose to marry Zayd ex wife

@Alghisi_F @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom You claimed the Prophet Muhammad abolished abortion so he could marry Zaynab. Where is your evidence that islamic law forbade marrying your adopted son's/daughter's former wife/husband?

@shafii29110479 @catiyaro @muradz95 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom This is not what happened. The critique and reconsideration of isnads of those narrations came LATER, after Al-Tabari had produced his tafsir To dismiss this saying 'he included false narrations because that's what he does' is dishonest So, what is Al Tabari's view on the verse?

@shafii29110479 @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom So you made a claim and have nothing to sustain it...? 'Oh no the ruling about adoption never changed' Well your scholars say it did. You are the one making a claim that needs substantiation... feel free to explain yourself.

God in the Bible commands the Israelites to a carry out a robbery, ask to borrow gold and jewellery from Egyptian women for a festival and then leave Egypt with the “plunder” Exodus 3:22 “Every woman is to borrow from her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silverand gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians.”

@burn33n @muslimorthodoxy Luckily Allah comes in and fixes the story It was actually a samaritan who made the golden calf! Allah made the miracle of putting a samaritan together with moses even if Samaria was built centuries later. Historical miracle of the Qur'an 🤲

@muslimorthodoxy You know what makes this even more funny (worse rather)?……that was the gold the Israelites later handed over to Aaron to help manufacture the golden calf when Moses went up😭

@GuntarioDotCom @catiyaro @Alghisi_F @muradz95 @AxadJimco You're a liar you dumb cross molesting pagan. The story you cited is a forgery, not in any authentic hadith collection. It doesnt even make sense contextually, since he already saw her without hijab since he knew her before Islam

@shafii29110479 @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom Again, could you provide a few references of this? I could be simply ignorant of this, my understanding was that arab custom prior to islam considered adopted sons like biological sons. Elaborate on what (if anything) changed and what stayed the same please

@Alghisi_F @catiyaro @muradz95 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom Al-Tabari brings all kinds of reports about everything he comments on, that doesn't mean he considers it reliable himself btw He himself mentions this in his muqadimmah. This isn't the new testament where you can rely on baseless fabrications.

@shafii29110479 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom So adopted sons prior the revelation of the verse were already not considered sons? Please elaborate on what you mean by 'legal ruling of adoption didn't change' because to me it looks like you are contradicting your scholars

@catiyaro @GuntarioDotCom @muradz95 @AxadJimco Aaah. It's inauthentic, yet Al Tabari, a gigantic name in Islamic scholarship, who is both muslim AND an historian, quotes it. I suppose he made a little mistake in his tafsir, hasn't he?

@catiyaro @muradz95 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom I wonder what Al-Tabari has to say about this Verse What does he say? Surely not that Muhammad started liking Zaynab, which made Zayd dislike her it does not say Muhammad feared judgement because the people would have said 'he made a man divorce his wife to marry her' Right?

@Alghisi_F @muradz95 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom “Read your tafsirs” and you havent read them, the tafsir doesnt say thats what happened he just mentions all relevant data It isnt a valid chain is like if i used the gospel of thomas to say jesus says only men will be in heaven “Maybe they write” and you havent read it

@SAIDDRS4 @Alghisi_F @GuntarioDotCom @AxadJimco Even if Allah ordered them to retain his biological heritage, doesn't mean his bond with Muhammad disappear. He honored him as Zayd also husband of Muhammad childhood caretaker, Umm Ayman.

@Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom I am opposing the fact God ever uttered such nonsense Please explain how this makes sense and what would the reason for this ruling would be logically, physiologically, psychologically Also explain why if the boy is still infant brestfeeding him l makes him mahram for adulthood

@Alghisi_F @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom Bruh what, why are you bringing a blood related mother when we are discussing about adoption, so unfortunately the orphan can't get that when he becomes pubescent, also i doubt if God revealed that ruling you would oppose, would you?

@jaemeaur @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom This is not the case actually. It is always true a 10 yo isn't physically nor mentally as developed as a 20 yo. After puberty ends, adulthood begins. I am applying this definition universally, as the most recent data points to this choice creating the best outcomes for children

@Alghisi_F @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom A 20 yo isnt as physically/mentally developed as a 40 yo either. That doesnt make the 20 yo a child tho does it? So whats d actual criterion? Age? Puberty? Legal status? Cognitive development? & r u applying that definition universally across history or only in modern societies?

@jaemeaur @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom How is that a shift? 'According to what criterion' 'According to any criterion' I then expanded specifying that adulthood doesn't begin with puberty, but after puberty has completed its course By 'child' i refer to those who have not finished puberty yet Then, subcategories exist

@Alghisi_F @Mohac882 @AxadJimco @GuntarioDotCom Nice shift. I asked for the criterion by which someone is a child and the time period you're applying it to. Instead, you said a 12 year-old isn’t as physically or mentally developed as an adult. Whilst true, it didn't answer what I asked; which is a definition of "child."
