My feed these days is full of @ArkaneStudios love and it reminded me again how they released Dishonored 2 and Prey back to back several years ago, no biggie – both of which are 10/10, impossibly incredible, some of the greatest games of all time. What a legacy!

@SWChrisCreative I may not be excited for this one, but that's mostly a factor of me being 38 and out of the "target audience" for SW content. And I got Andor last year, so I'm still happy with that. But I agree that these 1-offs are necessary to relight the franchise.

This is rage bait. Standalone movies are good actually if you want to see the franchise recover its popularity.
That’s not all they need to do, it’s the bare minimum of a first step.
Dunno what’s meant by “Netflix show”. Those are usually pretty high quality. Guess we’ll see.

Early test screening reaction to The Mandalorian and Grogu footage, per World of Reel: the film "looks like a Netflix show, not a Star Wars movie." Jon Favreau confirmed this week he designed the film for viewers who have seen nothing, canceling Season 4 to make a standalone feature. Star Wars' first theatrical release in six years is tracking at $65M, and the people who watched three seasons to get here are now being told they are not the target audience. Was scrapping Season 4 for a movie the right call?
