Many have been in touch with me, and I have struggled to come to terms with thoughts and feelings and get them across comprehensively in messages. This thread features a few brief thoughts as a Ukrainian living in the UK.

I cannot believe it has been 1000 days since this war started. So much has changed in that time, but the support has been steadfast. Now to see what upcoming political changes will do to our boundaries and whether the bullies will win.

Слава Україні! A brilliant video to celebrate and acknowledge Ukrainian independence day, 33 years. A hearty message for Ukrainians and allies. It pains me that we continue to fight for our freedom, again, but we continue to hope and believe in independence once more.

@hnjsamuels You can deactivate Facebook and keep messenger! Not quite the same as deleting fb, but almost so. I have a few friends who have taken that path.

When I was a teenager it was *the* place. Even at university, pretty much everyone used it and all events were organised through it. But the monetisation and ad-driven algorithms have turned it into a zombie. If it weren't for Messenger, I'd delete it in a heartbeat.

I am far from the first person to comment on this but I am constantly astonished at how far Facebook has fallen. My timeline is almost entirely pages I don't follow, AI-generated images, ads, and updates from people I've not spoken to in 15 years.

Just had a call from my gran currently in Ukraine. She was in her flat, 100m away from this site. The sirens started but she didn't have time to get to the bunker. Thankfully she is physically safe, but she is deep in grief and fear. google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.…

This is my city. My Chernihiv. Here, you do see no « pictures of the war ». Here, you see the pictures of war crimes. A lot of people died, including kids. Please help me and my people to survive. I don’t ask you to come and fight for the future of this world. We ask for more air defense systems for Ukrainian cities #UkraineNeedAirDefence

Happy women's day! I'm celebrating with mum and gran with a bottle of bubbly, and listening to this on my way home gave a lot of food for thought that we're now discussing. Looking forward to the next two episodes!

Dear great people of a great country, I am immensely proud of each of you. I admire each one of you. I believe in each one of you. Any normal person wants the war to end. But none of us will allow Ukraine to end. That is why when it comes to ending the war, we always add: on our terms. That is why, along with the word peace, there is always another word: just. That is why, in the future, the word independent will always appear alongside the word Ukraine. This is what we fight for. And we will prevail. On the greatest day of our lives. I thank all of our soldiers, our people, and everyone around the world who stands with us and the truth. Glory to Ukraine!

Another year anniversary of destruction, misery, and loss. The news updates of family and friends displaced, injured, or dead, is a normality in my home. Although I'm sure many have grown weary of hearing about this war, I ask you please not to forget it. Putin must be defeated.

Thanks to @LeighDay_Law for organising such an excellent event, and raising money for such a brilliant charity. The balls of my feet are still feeling the night, but I have no regrets. Count me in for next year if you do it again!

Once again on the hunt for a better (serif) typeface for my pleadings, opinions and skeleton arguments. Times New Roman is the best of the defaults, but I can't help but feel there must be better options out there.
