If AI ethicists need a doctorate in CS to be qualified to critique AI, then AI researchers need to have a doctorate in ethics/humanities/philosophy/HCI/etc. to be qualified to build AI.

I disagree with this approach because to understand American politics & its institutions, you have to understand America's relationship to race, class, & gender. Highways that exterminated Black & Latino communities should be demonized.

We don’t believe in demonizing automobiles or highways. We believe in criticizing auto-oriented development that prioritizes cars at the expense of other transportation methods, which perpetuates infrastructure debts we can no longer afford to maintain.
