Yes, before Harry Potter books didn’t exist, which is why I was completely illiterate until @jk_rowling wrote Harry Potter. Completely ignoring the fact that no one picked up a Harry Potter book until their teens, and everyone was taught to read in schools with other books.

@Keir_Starmer thinks @realDonaldTrump wants peace in Ukraine. His actions show he doesn’t. He wants Ukraine to unconditionally surrender to Russia. His withdrawal of aid from Ukraine is to punish @ZelenskyyUa for daring to say what needs to be said. Russia cannot be trusted.

The platform owned by the richest GC man in the world who has weaponised the platform to attack trans people and is the reason for the RFA in the first place.

It wasn’t until they took it down that they admitted they hadn’t had any input from any trans people at all. And an imperfect ally can do more harm than an enemy.

@LemkinInstitute You can say that’s not what you meant, but it’s how it reads. Words matter, you of all people should know that. And as I’ve stated elsewhere, anti-trans laws are not being passed by GC women. They’re being passed by right wing men. GC women are a useful tool of Trump, Musk, et al

@LemkinInstitute If the reading of your alert is faulty then consider that the wording may be at fault. Because it reads like you’re more concerned about what comes next, rather than what happens to trans people. And you call out GC “misandry” against trans women, effectively saying they’re men.

Folks over at Bluesky have created a world in which the Lemkin Institute believes that "trans people deserve to be eliminated but [is] worried about what will happen to others as a result," based on a faulty reading of our last Red Flag Alert. They have no knowledge of genocide prevention, of the Institute, of the work we do and have done, just a hostile reading of the RFA, which we have taken down because people said we were doing grave harm to the trans community. If this is Bluesky, the so-called left can have it.

@Acyn Here is a solution that wasn't possible even a few years ago. 10,000 Drones specially built for dumping water or chemicals could provide overwhelming fire suppression fast and stop the fires before they get into fire storm levels.

Seen some headlines about META’s fact check decision and it’s going to have a huge impact on misinformation being spread. They’ve said they’re going to “recommend more political content”. Based on 2016, this means promoting more right wing accounts. It’s bad enough now as it is.

Was told the car park at @bicestervillage was full today, despite needing a blue badge space. The reason there were no disabled spaces was that they had closed off all the disabled parking bays. Do better, you managed to not block the disabled parking last time you had the queues
