News in 2019: Surya Kant faces allegations of grave misconduct. In 2012, a real-estate agent accused the judge of having participated in illegal property dealings involving undervaluation and cash transactions worth several crores. In 2017, a prisoner in Punjab filed a complaint listing eight cases heard by Kant, and alleged that the judge had accepted bribes to grant bail in these. Though these complaints have been sitting with the collegium for over six years, Kant remained a judge at the Punjab and Haryana High Court till October 2018, when he was appointed the chief justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court. The collegium recommended his name for the post even though the questions arising from the complaint had not been resolved, and according to a former Supreme Court judge, it will do so again—this time, for elevation to the apex court.

A friend of mine was fighting a case in High court. He told me how his lawyer stood up and said, “My Lord, the other side filed for maintenance recovery after 3 years. And she’s already remarried. This isn’t fair.” The lawyer tried to argue that old dues shouldn’t be claimed like this. But the judge calmly replied, “Maintenance doesn’t just disappear with time. It’s a continuous responsibility.” Then the judge looked at them and asked, “If you’re coming so late, why should the court stop the order now?” Things got tense. My friend’s lawyer then said, “My Lord, at least give some relief. Police are coming to his house. He’s ready to pay something.” The judge didn’t fully agree, but hinted clearly- “If you want relief, start paying. Show good faith.” My friend walked out of court that day understanding one thing very clearly: “It feels like the system doesn’t ask what’s right… it asks what’s already ordered—and forces you to comply.” Maybe the law is the law. But when fairness starts feeling one-sided, people don’t lose cases… they lose faith.

Arrest procedure flawed → accused gets release. Serious crime alleged — yet technical lapses decide outcomes. Process matters, yes. But so does public trust in justice. ⚖️ #DueProcess #JusticeSystem

Can a common man demand judges of his own choice after such allegations on judiciary in social media? He will sent to jail immediately for contempt of court. All this can be done by privilege class only. Common men are cattle class in this country.

This is one example where a woman openly talks nonsense in the top court, yet the court responds to her like she’s their own daughter. Now reverse the gender — and watch the tone, the reaction, the consequences change instantly. Why are women given such excessive privilege that they don’t even realize who they’re speaking to, or how they’re behaving?
