client hits you with the classic: "hey man, I need a month off… gotta fix this, gotta handle that, let’s pause and come back stronger" translation: "I don’t like what you did, but I don’t wanna admit it" here’s the reality: if a client is TRULY satisfied with your work they don’t take a month off. they double down. because good delivery = more money and no sane founder ever pauses more money. here’s the fix for YOU: 1. if a client asks for a break → don’t argue. 2. get paid for the month you already worked. 3. walk away. if they’re pausing now, they’re firing you later. real clients invest. know the difference.
