@DrHelenFry I was student there in the 60s a teacher training college. I felt v lucky to be in such a magnificent house and grounds former home of Sir P Sassoon. We didn’t know its WW2 past.

Between Jan 1940 and the spring of 1942, over 3,000 German and Italian POWs were processed through Trent Park; at this stage of the war, the majority comprised of Luftwaffe officers and U-boat crew. It became one of the most successful HUMINT deception operations of WWII.
