To all other weather accounts out there..never feel afraid to post on twitter through fear of receiving harsh, often unjustified comments. If you've got the evidence to support your point your views and opinions are as important and relevant as any one elses 👍 🌞❄🌦🌈🌡🌩🌨☁️

Keep an eye out as there is a chance of seeing the northern lights over the next couple of nights 🎇 Sightings are most likely across Scotland where skies are clear but perhaps into northern England too 🌜

@goose120541 @Met4CastUK Tom 21C is above the 99 percentile of modern climate...I'd say that's 'out of the ordinary'!.. average max around 10/11C!

@Met4CastUK The blues are never as dramatic though as the reds? Today for example is a pleasantly warm early spring day, nothing out of the ordinary, way back in 1991 during the first gulf war I recall a similar warm spell in early march, that's 30 years ago!!

These people are so tiresome. Anomaly maps show the temperature difference from average, as per the very obvious scale on the graphic. Red = warmer than average Blue = colder than average This was the graphic back in June when temperatures were below average.

Miss Jo@therealmissjo

Welcome to the British Met Office. Red = danger = 21 degree temperatures. That sounds rather good to the rest of us, but not to them…they need to push some fear.

Yes the map's red..not because highs could be 21C tomorrow, but because this is a departure from average mid March highs of >9 degrees..Eg as ECMWF model output for Porthmadog below shows temperatures likely to climb above the 99% of model climate..extreme, & yes worthy of red

Wednesday is set to be the warmest day of the year so far, with temperatures expected to reach around 21°C In some areas, this is as much as 9°C above the average March temperature, making it feel more like late spring than mid‑March

The sun appears as a disc in the sky The day the top of the sun passes N/S of the Equator = the Equilux The day the centre of the sun passes N/S of the Equator = the Equinox Equilux occurs before Equinox in Spring/after in Autumn On the Equilux day/night = closest in length
Met Office@metoffice

Equilux meaning equal light is the day when daylight and darkness are closest to being exactly 12 hours each This year, the Vernal Equilux occurs on the 17th March for UK locations roughly south of Norwich, and on the 18th March for locations generally north of Norwich.

With the warm front and its rain clearing eastwards we're now edging into the warm sector..the region lying between warm and cold weather fronts..this will allow warmer air/higher temperatures to be drawn into the UK from the SW then later SE over the coming few days

@PathOfMen_ Animals don’t brush their teeth. They also don’t eat sugar, soda, and ultra-processed garbage all day. Diet matters more than toothpaste.
