@ShowsAli @caritassyria @Caritas_Mona @iamCARITAS I'm afraid with that logic Syria will remain locked in a cycle of war. We have to build from here and hold them to account for any violations. People I've spoken to suggest they are trying to act in good faith but the task is enormous and they don't have the staff or expertise.

Before that, we must ensure the safety and security of our people. The current government does not represent them, and only a few months ago, it attempted to appear civilised by distancing itself from its history of terrorism. Trusting them is impossible, especially given the ongoing killings and violations.
