Tanks got some algae build up, but we have lowered the lights a bit and cleaned them since these photos. Also did a partial water change.

First feeding of the new bettas. Both ate well even having to fend off the shrimp trying to be to steal their food.

School starts back soon, I have been working on setting up two planted aquariums to help with this school year. More videos on my Instagram.

A potentially bright naked eye comet is climbing into the evening sky. Beginning tonight look for Tsuchinshan-Atlas in west after sunset. It will be brightest bust most challenged by twilight early on and over two weeks gets fainter and higher in the sky. skyandtelescope.org/press-releases…

When you’re not able to buy a certain vexiq piece that you need for a robot build, you ask your friendly neighborhood 3D print guy. Only took a few tests to get the hole size right. I think I did a good job.

@MrCarefulGamer That’s actually a pretty handy idea. Might be something worth starting for my classroom next year, I have a few who struggle with wanting to do more then the minimum.

Earlier today I printed a new South Dakota using Eryone Galaxy Red. All of the other red states so far have been printed in ProtoPasta Garret’s Chaos Red, which unfortunately I have run out of. It is a pretty close match, just a bit shinier.

Another successful micro lab. On Monday we made observations on tornadoes using 3D printed tornado tubes and houses.

Is there a better feeling then when a student gifts you a print off their own 3D printer? He is so proud of this 12 hour print. Not sure who the designer is but if you know the model link it below.

@MakeItWithCal I have this plan for next year with a 3D printing club at my school. Each club will meet one day a week and each group of 5 is going to build the prusa mini kits. If all goes well that will give us a nice farm of 8 in the first half, and another 8 in the second half.

@AlkeshOne Totally get it! I want to have a small printer I can run off lithium batteries and have for "field repairs" but as nice as my X2 and Genius are, they are pretty large and I won't lie, cantilever printers always have fascinated me.

Finally back to cleaning up the workshop and getting the printers running after our garage got filled with stuff. Printed this little trash can for all the scraps that come off the printers. Printed on my @3dwox_sindoh dp200 using the test firmware for open material.
