Instead of fees free final year for all, why don’t we use that money to make the most useful qualifications fully free, subject to an appropriate bond period where they have to work in NZ (e.g. 5 years for nursing, 10 for doctors)?

Chris Hipkins fronting the media over the troll account run by a former staffer is anything but convincing. Last year, The Post reported Labour’s insistence that the account had no links to the party or its social media staff — a claim that’s utterly farcical. It was one of the worst-kept secrets in Labour Party circles.

On the tube back from the rally against antisemitism a teenage Jewish girl asked if I’d been there. She had too. We struck up a conversation and she told me that a girl in her class had refused to partner with her because she was Jewish. It broke my heart.
