The Dutch league was among the best leagues of Europe (better than the English league) back then with PSV winning CL late 80's. Feyenoord semi finalist in lower tier Europa Cups and Ajax being back to back Champions League finalist.

@segabastards @yambayanan @secondtierpod I didn’t see him live at PSV but I did see the guy he replaced …. got to a few PSV games in 91/92 as my dad was in Eindhoven with work Just because you watched him live doesn’t mean that was his prime years by the way !
