@AllThatJu1ce @zachbussey My eyes dont care about the number. You could argue people with 20 ccv should get partner. I argue that entire historic time is unacceptable. What's the difference between 20 ccv for 8 hours a day every week and 75 ccv for 8 streams per month? Nothing to me.

Twitch is making it easier to achieve Partner. They've reduced the number of streams needed from 8 per month (for two months) to 6 per month (for two months).

The only reason i bring time as a metric is just my idea of trying to weed out the influx of streamers who are just trying to get the checkmark, like a participation reward if you will. For me Time = Putting in the work. Kinda like how youtube removed monetization from the beginning of when an account was created. They wanted to give monetization to genuine consistent creators. Obviously theres not fool proof plan, there will always be ways to gain a system.

so what difference does it make to aspire to hit 75 vs something lower. If someone is hitting 40ccv as an example, and has been streaming for 4+ years and making decent income / money for twitch as well. Then someone comes along bots to 100 gets partner then drops back down to sub 10 ccv the following month. Then in your eyes is the 40ccv streamer still not worthy of getting partner?

@AllThatJu1ce @zachbussey And even with hours watched, that essentially is based off concurrent viewership and could cause issues of farming/botting. Even a total viewed hours, for years to yourself, accumulate to partner and can be abused too. Partner should be something to aspire to and not timegated.

So the hours watched then. The point being, is being able to reward people that put in genuine effort and lowering the point of entry. People get partner by botting all the time, and those streamers are not more deserving than the ones that dont. Growing off platform isnt just for twitch purposes, its potential ways to make more revenue

@AllThatJu1ce @zachbussey Loyalty to twitch is meaningless when they communicate about growing off platform. Arguing the semantics of what # of viewership doesn't move me a millimeter. Thats the traditional way just arguing numbers. I dont agree on a time based metric for partner unless its hours watched

Not zero viewers, obviously much higher than that. My point is, we both know that are people who just push for partner and end back where they are. So what difference does it make to give it to someone who has proven their loyalty to twitch and have a decent community? (not zero viewership)

@AllThatJu1ce @zachbussey I firmly and politely disagree with this. If I left my stream on 24/7 streaming a black screen I show consistency and devotion. I will have 0 viewers and get partner? No, thank you. Refine the idea and you'll come up with something akin yo the traditional way.
